Customer (Ribhard) 12/12/2009 05:57 PM
I sent a cool pix camera in for repair on november 29...and never heard a word. is there some way to check on it?

Response (Gina G.) 12/14/2009 03:11 PM

Which location was it shipped to?

Customer (Ribhard) 12/15/2009 10:30 PM
el segundo, ca....see attached packing sheet

Customer (Ribhard) 12/15/2009 10:31 PM
do you see the attached file?

Response (Gina G.) 12/16/2009 11:53 AM
It has not been logged in service yet. Once it has been received and logged in, you automatically will receive confirmation by email. I would suggest to check with USPS and see if package was delivered.

5204607 service order number

please send my camera back to me. the estimate of $87 is more than the camera cost new. This is sad news, since the camera never worked correctly since it was purchased. The dealer said to send it to you as they would not fix it. And now Nikon wants an arm and a leg to fix a problem that has always been there.

also there is nowhere on your website to decline servce.

thanks for nothing

Mr Ribhard:

When was the camera purchased? Our records indicate a sales receipt was not included?

Nope, it just updated the information yesterday (12/18/09) to reflect a courtesy repair.

Thanks Gina
We got the camera back yesterday. Works fine. Is Nikon going to cover this for another year under warranty? I'm just wondering. Thanks for all your help.

no shit, you asked for another year on the warranty???!!
I think that would fall under the "looking a gift horse in the mouth" category. Could you look up the origin of that expression during your obviously-abundant spare time? What are you doing upstairs there in the office - just "chillaxin"??
